About Cody Leach, LMFT

Hi there!

My name is Cody (he/him) and I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of Massachusetts. I appreciate the time you’ve taken to look at my site and read more about my personal and professional background.

I have spent my entire working career in the helping professions. I first began my journey as a certified nurses assistant in high school after completing a vocational training program. I then went on to college and obtained a double bachelor’s in Neuroscience and Psychology from Coe College.

During my undergraduate studies, I worked as a direct service provider in group living environments, supporting individuals diagnosed with severe mental illnesses, including schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. This foundational experience solidified my commitment to a career as a mental health provider. I later went on to graduate with a Master’s in Couple and Family Therapy from Jefferson University.

Since graduation, I’ve worked primarily in community behavioral health, serving underinsured individuals and those facing significant barriers to wellness—including disability, poverty, chronic illness, and housing instability. This work has given me a deep appreciation for the resilience of my community and extensive experience with a wide range of mental health concerns across the lifespan.

Outside of my practice, I recharge by spending time with my cat, Stanley, going for runs, playing video games, and baking. These moments remind me—and I hope remind you, too—that therapists are fully human. My goal is to bring that genuine, grounded humanity into every session, blending professionalism with kindness, creativity, and a touch of lightness when it fits.

Above all, I believe therapy works best when it feels authentic, collaborative, and respectful of your unique story. If you’re looking for a therapist who values warmth, flexibility, and real connection, I would be honored to walk alongside you.

Sincerely,

About Stanley

If we're lucky, Stanley might decide to make a guest appearance during our session. I can't make any promises, as he operates entirely on his own schedule.
